Tasty and cozy like at home

This charming small family restaurant is located on a bustling street in the trendy Gros neighborhood. Argentinian chef Gustavo Ficoseco, in love with the Basque Country, knows perfectly well how to bring out the juiciness and colors of traditional Basque dishes when serving. Just look at the dishes like warm salad with lobster and mollusks, brochette of shrimp and baby squid with tomato vinegar, or foie gras terrine with marmalade and brioche toasts! By the way, they make their own foie gras here, as Gustavo studied the highest culinary art in France. Also mandatory for tasting are the freshest fish from the Bay of Biscay and meat from Goya. The chef recommends his signature steak with Argentine chimichurri sauce.
The quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant has been rightfully noted by the Michelin Guide, and in 2022 Ikaitz made it to their list of recommendations. Despite its loud name, the restaurant remains affordable for everyone. During the workweek, you can try the “menu del día” – daily lunch menu – for a reasonable 28 euros. And for friendly companies looking for a cozy place for gastronomic pleasures, there are several tasting menus available.
