In mid-July, the most beautiful city of the Bay of Biscay becomes the center of navigation of the entire coast. Fastest sailboats arrive to San Sebastian from the north of Spain and south-west of France in order to participate in the International Sailing Regatta. These competitions are dedicated to Vincent Munizia - the legendary Basque navigator, who laid foundation of sailing in the Basque Country. Several regattas take place for two days long. Some routes run along the coast of San Sebastian with the longest ones ending at the border of France in Hondarribia. Locals come to Miramar Palace, from where a magnificent view of La Concha bay opens, to look at sailboats. To participate in the regatta, register here: https://regatamunilla.com
